Fall Feature | Carbon Soldier

Happy Fall good people! Hope everyone had an amazing Halloween!  I know its been a few since our last fashion post but we have been taking it slow and just enjoying life. Mr.P and I are so excited for all the fall vibes we’ve been getting in the ATL recently!

Our style dreams came true when this gorgeous set arrived from New Zealand brand Carbon Soldier. We have loved their designs for some time now and thought this would be the perfect ensemble for P to rock to celebrate  the start of the fall season. I could totally see a stylish babe wearing this to a holiday party or dinner at the granparents paired with some cool knee socks or tights! The day of this shoot it had already turned a bit chilly so we paired this look with a cozy fur jacket from Plae Fur and these gorgeous boots from Italian brand Gallucci. This outfit totally gives me retro European proper school boy vibes. I imagine thats part of the aesthetic that Carbon Soldier’s creative director Barbara McCamish had when dreaming up this collection. Heirloom quality designs with a modern sensibility. While Mr.P and I love “streetwear” fashion, I have a soft spot for pieces that are more classic.

I often get asked if he enjoys our little fashion Adventures. Like “does he like taking photos”? He answers yes! He says that he likes doing photo shoots with his mom. We are all about hanging out , exploring our city and finding yummy things to eat! I think dressing up for him is really a way of expressing himself. His personality comes out and I think the interactions with admirers gives him more confidence. He was a little shy as a younger kid and I have seen how much he has come out of his shell. He has actually become a bit of a male diva! I think I’ve created a monster!

All in the details. Love the Sleeves on this Gorgeous Neapolitan Jacket.

Burberry in the city || Featuring Nickis

At the heart of every style maker is a desire to use fashion as a means of expression. To fuse function and art. Burberry is a brand that just gets it. Craft garments with an uber cool modern touch while staying true to the brands traditions. The design house has really come alive this season  with updated takes on the classics, like this gorgeous reversible jacket. Iconic Burberry  check on one side and a lovely summery pale yellow stripe on the other. The perfect piece that can  go from a picnic in the park to a cool after swim cover up.

P was in full fashion mode while out and about in NYC. We have our favorite food spots to go like Prince Street pizza and Dr.Schmood ( for  the yummiest smoothies). Another must is a trip to Washington square park! So fun for people watching and playing! I’m feeling like a full “things to do in the city ” guide post is coming soon!

The Burberry denims were amazing as well! They will defiantly be in heavy rotation as they are so classic and chic. Young soles London knocked it out of the park with these lace up boots! So effortlessly cool and can go with most everything in your babes closet! P got so many compliments on this entire look while in NY!

This stylish look is available from German kids wear shop Nickis

They carry some of the top kids fashion brands with world wide shipping! Aquarium Vibes| featuring Rockets of Awesome

Happy Summer friends!

Today was a very exciting day for Mr. P.

Dare I say even more special than a trip for ice cream and pizza. We had the amazing opportunity to visit the GA aquarium and team up with cool kids brand Rockets of Awesome.

We received our subscribtion box of goodies from ROA recently ,just in time for  our summer adventures.  Such a fun + no hassle  way to get kids excited about their clothes. Rockets of Awesome curates a unique selection of pieces (8) based on the Childs preferences. How do they know what my kid likes you may wonder? The process goes something like this:

you and your babe(s) take a quiz, which they ask things like what colors do they like to wear,  general style swag ie: casual, sporty or mr./miss cool and if stripes are a absolute no no.  After P took the quiz  we arrived at this awesome outfit he chose to wear for his special day at the Aquarium. The Shark tee is really the coolest and glow in the dark! The fabrics are uber soft and perfect for running around checking out the fantastic ocean exhibits.

The pricing is very reasonable and the quality is excellent. I can see P getting to use these pieces throughout the summer. You can really customize your box and get the most OMG worthy items for your little.

Fuss free shopping for the kids, no busy malls, which as a busy parent is a HUGE bonus! That means I get to spend more time doing all of the summer activities with my prince 🙂

He had the best time! Anyone who knows him can tell you that he is most happy when he gets to spend time in nature and seeing animals.

Check out ROA here and get started with the most Awesome shopping experience!

P.S (shipping is totally free) !

NYC steet style + Sons & Daughters Eyewear

Hello darling friends!

I wanted to first send a giant heap of thanks and gratitude to everyone who has been along with us on our IG/blog journey.  We continue to grow and love getting to share our love of fashion with you guys. Our adventures together as mom and son is what we live for of course, but being stylish is really fun too! We had an amazing weekend in New York and hit some of our favorite spots for P’s number one fav Pizza and ice cream!

From fashion to food + street art NYC is where its at. The Gorgeous woman who helped us at Kith kids simply said ” the city matters”.

We hit the scene with some amazing fashion looks including the best kids eyewear around from Sons+Daughters. I’ve met the designers at Playtime NYC a few seasons ago and besides being incredible kind they have remained on the forefront of the children’s eyewear industry. I mean did you see the adorable Blue Ivy wearing the white XO frames!

We are not rollin like Bey and Blue but P gets his share of attention wherever he goes. From fellow fashionable passers by to being snapped by a New York street style photog, he’s certainly on his way to fashion mini icon status.

He slayed Soho in his beyond dope faux fur bomber jacket (which was custom made by Sew Knot Bias). He paired the outfit with Moschino denim, checkered vans. Lets not forget his cooler than cool hat by Aussie brand Fallen Broken Street. Which just about everyone was trying to snatch from him!

Brooklyn was the next stop on our quick weekend adventure. What I love most about BK is the amazing wall art which you can spend the entire day admiring. We hit some cool cafes where I could get my caffeine fix and P could sneak in a quick game of Minecraft! The weather was not as chilly so we brought out a lighter weight camo style Parker  for a casual look along with  his new favorite jeans.

One thing that I know for sure: We are east coast peeps forever and ever. New York is where we are from, no matter where else we live! Its true that New York is a place to come for inspiration, and the opportunity to re-(imagine ) your life. I can imagine P and I living here once again in the future.

Hope you enjoy the visuals from our time in New York!

Much love,

Happy Spring darling friends!

Ok….. I know thats a joke for most of us on the south east and east coast. My bet is that you’ve shed a few tears over the fallen snow or freezing winds and swore that this would be  your last winter in a cold climate. Let’s pretend together for a moment. Close your eyes with me and imagine that we are all enjoying temps in the mid 70’s , having an ice cream  while our mini’s are playing in the park or at the beach in the Caribbean somewhere with a tasty cocktail in hand. Sounds better than being in never ending winter doesn’t it?

Prince and I are so so ready to peel away all those cold weather layers ( for good) and embrace light jackets, cool tees, and fresh sunnies. You with me?!

On our recent adventure we headed out on a nice spring (ish) day in our new gear from the fab shop Coccolebimbi. The shop is based in Italy with the most loveliest looking showroom that Mr.P and I are dying to visit! A mama can dream no? The uber cool Buyer Cesare never disappoints with his impeccably curated selection of top designers. Stunning new SS18 collections from Gucci, Marc Jacobs ,Moncler, Burberry and Moschino just to name a few,  your mini-me will never have a bad fashion day.

To get this cool weekend look we went with  a mix of pieces that can transition well into spring and summer. The must have jacket of the season from Italian brand Moschino that’s light weight and water resistant. We paired it with a  graphic tee from Guess, and denim from  label Its in my Jeans London. Accessories can not be ignored so Mr.P  finished the look with low tops kicks from the iconic brand Gucci, the coolest cap ever and fresh frames from We are Sons and Daughters eyewear .

Street Style Vibes || Featuring Loud Apparel

Happy Friday dear friends,

Hope you had a powerful week and have something amazing planned for the weekend. We are in full back to (home) school mode, and certainly welcome a chill’d laid back vibe for the weekend. Even when we are taking it easy we don’t skimp on style.  Our latest fashion crush for fresh street style is Uber cool brand Loud Apparel. If you are a fan of bold prints with a heavy dose of minimalistic Italian design then look no further.

This Uk brand distinguishes itself by  producing quality garments with exquisite craftsmanship and amazing attention to detail.

We are forever fans of this line and this season’s collection does not disappoint. For this dope street style look we chose the king hoodie and the scuffle cap which can be paired with many items in P’s fall wardrobe! Beyond being cool Loud Apparel will appeal to parents that demand quality garments that can be passed from sibling to sibling. Most items are totally unisex which I just love!

P of course loved that the hoodie was comfy to wear. Really thats what’s most important for me….. quality+comfort. This outfit was a real head turner, and many gown ups were showing him so much love!  I can’t help but smile as he has a style that is all his own, and it matches his fun personality…. ya know what I mean?

We paired the hoodie and cap with our gorgeous vegan pants from the beloved Aussie brand Eve jnr ( currently in heavy rotation) , and his favorite candy apple red D&G sneakers.

I can see these pieces being put to good use, the hoodie for instance layered under a denim or statement leather jacket…. you know how we get down eh? We are all ready for the cooler temps to come! Bring on fall!

Sending lots of love and light to the world, especially all those devastated by the recent hurricanes.

Boston Vibes | Bang Bang CPH

Happy Tuesday Friends!

I can’t believe it’s been so long since I’ve updated our space! We have been having a crazy busy summer. Summer camp for one, and trying to keep up with all of Mr.P’s activities is no small feat. To be honest though sometimes I miss the simplicity of actually just enjoying and “experiencing life” without worrying about taking photos for a blog or the gram. At a cafe in Boston this weekend I witnessed two young woman get their respective plates of fancy salad on toasted bread, whip out their phones and take a food shot before eating. Nothing at all wrong with that – but i remember a time when all that was required before eating was saying grace.

P and I try to visit Boston every summer as its close to the camp where we stay, and it makes a great day trip. Its really a fantastic city because  it’s very walkable, has great places to eat (majorly important), and kid friendly. To be honest we just love strolling through Newbury street and sampling yummy treats along the way. And by treats I mean pizza, cupcakes and ice-cream. I think those are all food groups right?

This weekend was the perfect day to also try our new top from the funky Danish brand Band Bang CPH. The woody tee is one of our favorites from this fun designer and this years color-way is just perfection! The fabric is super soft and has a nice stretch to it, the faux suspenders and adorable bow tie make it fun and not too fussy! Mr.P got so many compliments on his outfit! This piece will certainly be in heavy rotation come fall!

Boston is indeed a cool town to visit, Its so vibrant but with a chill laid back vibe. There is something for everybody!

Hope everyone is enjoying the last days of Summer, or maybe your getting ready for the summer season on the other side of the world.

We have a few more weeks of fun before back to school!

Be well,

Much love

There are a few brands that stand out from the rest. You know what I mean, when quality, style and comfort come together so effortlessly in one package. I feel head over heels in love with LMH ever since their very first collection in 2015. I thought the garments had a wonderful unfussy charm about them, which matched Mr.P’s style to perfection. Its been a few seasons since we were first introduced and I have grown even more fond of the brand.

The theme this season is an ode to rock star’s most inspired artist of the electric pop and grunge era. LMH paid homage to the likes of POP and grunge icons such as David Bowie and Kirk Cobain. I love the relaxed style of the boys garments, fun pieces to mix and match for endless outfit possibilities.

Cozy pieces with cool and funky designs that are easy to wear and allow for freedom of movement. P is so in love with his newest LMH fit!

We decided to choose this  cool graphic longline tee and wide striped harem style shorts for our adventure.  These pieces are perfect for the warm summer months ahead! The best part is that Little Man Happy is committed to offering GOTS garments, which means higher standards in the textiles and raw materials used to produce the garments, all the way up to the manufacturing process.  Another added bonus is that the pieces have a lovely quality and feel to them. They can definitely be passed down from bothers and sisters, as most pieces are totally unisex.

They are really a brand that I look forward to every season!

LMH is currently having a Mid Season Sale! Save 30% Stop by and grab some goodies!

I hope you are enjoying the warmer weather, or getting ready for winter layers on the other side of the globe.

Lots of love always,

Mr. Strong! Love this kid

Superwoman Syndrome / Raising a gentleman II

When its so good you want to shout out about it to all your peeps. What could I mean? Well first of all lets shout out about LIFE, and mommy-hood, because there’s nothing like it. Before Mr. P came along I was a very busy bee doing all sorts of things, going to college, culinary school, working around the clock. Lots of running around really. Running without a clear vision or destination.

The universe has a way of settling you and making you focus. I have never been so outcome oriented before becoming a mother. I mean that in a whole sort of way. Like not just in how P develops but how our journey as mother and son progresses, how I change and grow as a woman.

These days I  have more respect for myself and my strength. I generally dislike the whole being a superwoman idea as a general rule. Its like a box you have to stay in, once you say you are mighty and strong you can’t be seen being weak and vulnerable. I am a multifaceted being, who needs to express every aspect of myself. The belief that “Superwoman” can mean what you need it to. The term does not have to hold you to any expectation from the outside. I suppose the hope is that we all are working toward this idea of being truly one with self, but its very hard to detach from the whole and think with your brain, like without any outside influences or voices creeping in. Indeed a work in progress!

We think big and dream big around here!

I am everything and absolutely nothing.

One thing for sure |  Superwoman does need to show up and handle some business from time to time,  but that’s ok!

How do you envision your role as mommy/caretaker? Is it what you imagined, how has it changed you?

Have a fab weekend Friends,

A few of our favorite things :

  1. Nico Nico has won my heart this season with this easy no frills button up. Fuss free and perfect for the upcoming  South East weather ( I mean Hot-lanta baby)!
  2. Textured joggers with a asymmetrical button closure, cozy and all the way fly
  3. The Japanese school bag inspired carry all. Wth eye patches. Nuff Said
  4. P’s wardrobe staple would have to be a hat, this one is hemp and is a favorite
  5. White trainers

Strength, Courage and Wisdom ( Words to grow by)

He is Super P!

What Do you believe about yourself?
